On October 8th, from 3:00-6:00 p.m., Friends of Great Kids Farm invites the greater Baltimore community to enjoy an afternoon of fun, food, and entertainment at our 4th Annual Food & Jazz Festival.
Baltimore City Schools culinary students, paired with prominent local restaurant chefs, will prepare innovative dishes for guests to sample on the Farm’s rustic campus just a short drive from the city. Chefs from the following are contributing their culinary expertise to the event: Woodberry Kitchen, Atwaters, Chiapparelli's, Nalley Fresh, and McCormicks.
The afternoon event features locally-sourced beverages, farm tours, and the sounds of the Dunbar Jazz Band. Guests will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite dish and applaud the creations of student chefs from Edmonson Westside High School, National Academy Foundation, Carver Vocational-Technical High School, Mergenthaler Vocational-Technical High School, and Forest Park High School.
Proceeds will help provide bus transportation for 7th graders to participate in Learning Journeys at the Farm, farm-to-table training workshops for high school culinary programs, and the purchase of supplies to support work-based learning at the farm.
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased here. Check out these photos from last year's event. We hope to see you there!
