One of the great joys of serving as Executive Director of Friends of Great Kids Farm is sharing our beloved farm with others. While I can easily talk your ear off about the Farm’s innovative programs and impacts on student achievement, my words can’t compare to the experience of discovering the historic campus, hearing high school students describe their microgreens growing operation, seeing wide-eyed students pulling carrots from the ground, and enjoying the goats as they redefine the word “edible”.
It’s been a long hard winter, and we’re looking forward to welcoming spring back to the Farm! Please join us for a Farm tour. Everyone is welcome! Come ready to be inspired by the campus and the good work happening there. Join us:
- Wednesday, April 9
- Wednesday, April 23
- Saturday, April 26
- Saturday, May 3
- Wednesday, May 14
- Saturday, May 17
All tours are at 10am and last about an hour. Click here to register or RSVP to chrissa@friendsgkf.org so I’m ready to greet you! I’ll provide parking guidance based on other activities happening at the Farm on your tour date, and will ready the welcome wagon.
