2017 Farm Report Card

We are proud of the work being done here! Check out some numbers...

  • This year the farm had visits from almost 3,000 students from nearly 100 schools.
  • We grew 1,895 pounds of produce for more than 60 school cafeterias.
  • We added a flock of laying hens, turkeys,three low tunnels for cool weather production, two berry plots and two hives of bees
  • Nearly 1,000 students took part in a 7th grade Farm Exploration trip implemented this year to expand our reach across the city.
  • We gave out 403 seedlings and had 3 educational summits that inspired 500 students.
  • We engaged 234 teachers with the farm this year through our programming.
     
  • Last summer, we hosted 15 YouthWorks students for five weeks to continue our programming in the summer months.
